How much sould i mill my head

i was just want to know i have my head and i going to mill it but i dont know how much i sould has any one and if how much and if ther is a other whay to get cheap power

Milling the head is pretty drastic. It's something you can't put back if it goes wrong or your needs change later down the road.

What year car/motor/head do you have?

It's hard to answer your question without more specific information.

In my mind, it's cheaper to put in a cam than mill the head. Even though the short term cost is cheaper to just throw it on a plane and take some off, you loose your flexibility later. If for some reason you REALLY need to mill it down the road, there may not be enough left to do it right and then all you have is an expensive paperweight.

ok well it is a 82na it has a 55cc head not very much more to know then that and the and a cam can not up the compersion and if it gose bad down the road i will just put in a lt1 that i have sitting in a jag that just got in a wreckand will have to eather get a new jag or put it in this o and it is a p 79 head

Your cam will actually lower the static compression if you go too wild. Dont' go past a stage 1 cam if you leave the compression stock.

The website above recomends shaving the head a maximum .080" for the P79 or P90 heads. He also goes into how to shim the cam towers and vale springs up to tighten the chain. If you want the cheaper way, you can just install a new timing set and set the upper sproket and bright link on the #3 position. many people have said not to do the chain advance thing though. It doesn't seem like that bad of a fix to me.
