does anybody konw where i can find or do anybody have a 82 hood clamp? or whatever thats called... mines didnt have one side to it so its just hanging on the bar...

I think he's talking about the hood latch. The cable controlled part. I may have an extra one but I'll have to check. Free of charge if I can find it. I'll let you know tomorrow if I've got it or not. You just pay the shipping.

Just to verify, you are talking about the lower part of the latch that bolts to the fire wall and holds the hood completely closed. Right? And it's activated with the hood release inside the cabin? So right now your hood wont stay all the way closed right? If thats the case then I'll let you know tomorrow. I DON'T have the cable though if thats missing too.

 

I'm gunna take a wild guess & say that he's talking about the hood hinge plate that allows the hood to pivot open - closed.

 

But when he said hangin on the bar I assumed he was talking about the hook that the hood side latch hooks on. You know when you pop your hood and it pops open but it's still hanging on that hook inside the cowl. Without the rest of the assembly then the hood will sit an inch or two open just hanging onto that hook all the time. Not the safest way to cruise
