Fender flares or not?
#2
I have been fighting with the idea myself, just recently picked up an 82 ZX. I love the idea and look of the flares but I am not 100% on cutting the body since mine are in good shape. Looks like you have some extension on your wheel setup already so you might not need anything else going in that department.

Hey, welcome to ZDriver! If there is not a performance factor in your decision, it is all about the appearance, yes? If you can't do this yourself, get a friend who is good with Photoshop or another photo-altering program to produce a photo of your Z with the flares. That will tell you what you need to know.
Same topic, I do not like the idea of drilling through the fenders to install these ornaments. The last thing you want on your Z is rust - and drilling into your weather-exposed body is an open invitation to rust. In the northeast where they salt the roads in winter, you would have rust starting in February and continuing through the summer into November. I installed plastic window guards on my Honda because they helped keep the rain out (window open a little) and installed with just sticky-tape. No drilling required. Dude, do not put holes in your Z!

After looking into different wheels packages and getting the sizes I want, I have decided to not go with flares for my car. I say do what you want as it will be you driving it. For looks, you can say pro's and con's about both setups.
