Hi Guys I need a decent used original dashboard for my '82 280zx. Mine is destroyed, cracked and brittle. I need one to either fix and or get a dash cap for. It doesn't matter if it is cracked just not all the way through, to where I can't fix or put a cap on. Also it would be nice to have the dash end vents also. If you have them. Please tell me if any of you have one. And how much you want for it. I appreciate it. Once I get another dash, I can put my instruments and everything back together and hooked back up. Do you have a black dash?
An original black dash in good condition is hard to find and very expensive. I have a cover on my dash (the hard cover). I don't like the carpet dash covers.

I have a couple spare dashes. One is red, one is brown. Both have at least one crack in them so you would definatly want to cover them. When you put a dash cap on, you need to shave down around any of the cracks so the cap sets flush on the dash. I think you should be able to use your own dash.

 

HI Bleach; No mine is destroyed, It practically fell apart. And by the way mine was blue not black. How much do you want for either dashboard. The red or brown? And are they pliable? Not brittle, let me know, I appreciate it!

 

Since you'll be coloring it or covering it anyway, I'll go take a look at each one and press on them to see which one is in better shape.

 

Thanks bleach, let me know. But of course it will be a little bit before I have the money. I have a pair of nice blue seats I put a downpayment at the wrecking yard. They are beautiful! I paid $200 for them, and they are reupolstered. But I need to get them out by May 1st, or I will lose them. So no big rush, but at least tell me how much you want when you find the best one. Also it would be nice if they had good dash end vents too. Talk to you later!
