Custom Dashes Anyone?

I'm thinking about making a fiberglass dash to replace my sun cracked and torn apart stock dash. A previous owner decided to try to access the heater core from... above the glovebox and made a nice large hole in the top.

So does anyone have pictures of custom dashes for 280zx's? I've not been able to find any doing a forum search on here.

There's a couple 280zx's on cardomain that have fiberglass covered dashes. I personally think it looks goofy, but it has been done.

I'd really like to capture a classic sports car feel to the dash, but have it unique from stock form. I mean, since I'm makinga new one, it might as well be unique, right? lol

One part of the stock Z dash that I really like for its contribution to the classic theme is the set of gauges that are dead center in the car.

Any non-nissan or non-280zx dashes that you guys particularly like for their sports car feel to them?

Those are the F.U. Gauges...

Because they say to the passenger, "F.U. ... You don't need to know"

I dont remember if it was you that originally said that on here, but that's what I've called them ever since I read that on here

I love those gauges. I tossed the clock though. I went with the oil press/temp gauge, Voltmeter, and aftermarket boost gauge. never did understand why the turbo car's tossed the voltmeter in favor of keeping the clock. Kind of lame if you ask me.

You mean that dash?? Doesn't look too sporty to me... nor too classic.

I do like the position of the Tach though
