I am restoring my 1979 280ZX and am looking for the hard rubber insert that goes into the metal strips that were used as body side moulding. Does anyone know if the stuff is still made or available in the original colors? Mine was brown and is still intact but time has caused it to fade and shrink and I would like to replace it with new stuff if possible. I just had the car painted and have not put the metal moulding back yet since it has to be riveted back on and I may have to use something else if I cannot find what I am looking for. Thanks in advance for the help.

 

I have been looking at some auto part sites. I have only seen black moulding, but I've only been looking for black, as my Z is white. Try PEP boys and JC Whitney.
