I own a 1982 280zx datsun and am completely stumped on my body panels. On the rear quarter panel there is rust completely broken through around the gas tank door. I wanted to replace this panel but it is one piece from the rear panel all the way up to the t tops. Yet I cannot find any where that sells this sort of thing. Is the rear quarter panel separate and I just cant see it or where can I find what I need. Please help.

 

youll only get a panel that goes to the upper body line, not the t-tops. you can try black dragon auto or msa. i have a local parts store i order from, but its all aftermarket. it doesnt quite fit absolutly perfect, and requires a experenced bodyman to do the work. (me)

 

your best bet maybe sourcing a 280zx in the junk yard or a shell someone has for sale and then cut out the area you'd need from it to replace yours.

 

Dealership will. For an arm and a leg I bet.

 

up here in canada i paid 280 per quarter (aftermarket) and 120 a fender. then i had to manually rebuild the inner fender and other random rusty bits. i made my own rockers too, looks better.
