82 ZX 2+2 --> 2+0 conversion?
Ok, so I know the cars themselves are actually different in size, but does anyone know about the interior? Is the interior body shape and size different?
Or, is it possible to adapt a 2+0 interior with the storage bins into a 2+2..... Please let me know... Thanks...

Under the back seats you don't have the open space for the storage bins. You'll have to cut holes in the sheetmetal and I don't know whats under that. The doors themselves are longer on the 2+2 so those panels will not be the same. The front section of carpet is the same as well as the dash. The enter console is the same except for the very back part. Most 2+2 models have levers to open the rear wing windows. The side speaker surrounds are different as well. Not a whole lot is interchangable. The trunk area is a slightly different size and the hatch is angled differently so the side panels back there are different.

Ya, if the panels are in decent condition, try taking each piece out and using a good quality plastic and vynal spray paint or dye to color the sections whatever color you want. If its brown, then it'll be easy to go black with it all. That's cheaper than buying another car. Then just take out the back seat and build up a small speaker box which also has storage compartments built into it.
