Hello Everyone,

Recently I had the opportunity to purchase a 280ZXR California car and have begun restoration process. I am currently working on a full reproduction stripe kit for the car and was wondering if there are others that might be interested since I will probably be producing several when the time comes. I am in the decal business and have access to all that i need to produce them once I have completed the art files. It will take awhile to complete to insure sizing and color accuracy are correct but thought I would test the waters to see if there is any additional interest. UPDATE 11/16/16 : IT TOOK AWHILE BUT I HAVE FINALLY COMPLETED THE ZXR STRIPE KIT. FOR THOSE OF YOU INTRESETED IN A KIT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEND ME A PRIVATE EMAIL.

For those of you ZXR Owners that might still be interested in a stripe kit I just about have the art completed, just working on finalizing colors which is the most difficult task since there is no data specs. available to my knowledge, just
what is on my car, which I am sure has faded some.

I am very close to completing this project. I have all the correct size templates and have recently made contact with a fellow ZXR owner on the east coast that I am working with to get the correct colors (or as close as possible to the original) which has been the biggest hurdle. If you know any others that may be able to help with the color matching feel free to contact me or have them contact me. My goal here is to produce a extremely accurate reproduction of the original.

I know a guy in the Portland area that has a good example of a ZXR. He has owned it about 16 years and kept it in good shape. Although I haven't seen him in about 3 years since I just don't get out to the shows as often...

I could look him up. I don't have any contact info right now and he does not participate in forums.

Actually I do have all the correct templates completed for the stripe kit including the hood striping. Right now I am working with another ZXR owner to produce color accuracy. My goal is to produce an extremely accurate reproduction kit. Any additional help with color matching is always welcome if you happen to know what the Pantone PMS, CMYK, or RGB colors are that would help a lot.

Saw your post and thought i would follow up with you to see if you had been able to reproduce the stripe and decals.
I have a ZXR that was just painted but had long ago had the decaling removed.

I work in a sign shop in Roanoke, VA and I have a customer who's looking for these decals. Did you do them in any particular colors (dumb question I'm sure),because my customer is looking for a set in blue. I just don't have the time to recreate them like I think they should be done, and was very happy to see someone had been working on it.
If you could give me an idea of cost, or even if you could give me a cost on a vector file to print them for him (and I totally understand if you don't want to do that) it would be great. Or I could send him your way (which may be even better)

My brother just acquired a zxR that has been repainted and had the striping removed and would like to put them back on can you send me the details to your kit? Also if know of anybody that does if you are no longer doing this type of work. Thanks for the help.
