zx to z motor swap
okay guys this might seem dumb to you but im just wondering how hard is it to change my 280z motor with a 280zxt motor and 5spd tranny what do i need from the zx etc,etc. also which 280zxt year would be the best in terms of performance?

That's it. The hydralic lifters are discontinued, and they are known to go back pretty quickly. (100K miles)
You'll need the complete setup to do a swap easily. Engine block and head and all attached components. Wiring harness, computer. Unique components include exhaust manifold, intake tubing, distributor. The starter and alternator don't nessisarily have to be from a turbo, but you probably knew that. You can do whatever you want with the guages. Maybe just mark what the wires went to and then you can buy some aftermarket boost gauge, oil pressure ect.
