Re: engine heads
There is plenty of info available on heads that will work on your L24 engine. Check out the Datsun Z Garage www.mindspring.com/~blittl/ZGarage.html
or try www.zhome.com (which I think probably sends you to the first site anyway.)

Re: engine heads
Yes. However if you have a e33 head I recommend you keep it. This head is pre-emmisions, and has great compression. If you are considering fuel injection I believe you are limited.
I grabed a L28 from a junk yard for $50 and bored it .20 over, then droped my e33 head on. Its not a 350 V8, but with my 5 speed and 3.90 Diff, I seem to have a lot of torque through out most of the power band.

Re: engine heads
First of all I want to retract my misleading head info. I made a typo on the e31 head. I put e33, in fact it is e31. SORRY.
As for my block I drove from Minnesota to Tennesee to the Z barn (a gently used Z haven). I made the deal prior to leaving. I included the pistons, however I scraped thoughts for oversized and machined the cylinders.

Re: engine heads
If you have a E-31 or an early E-88 leave it there. The problem with head changes on the L-24 is that the block was not notched for larger valves. You want bang for the buck performance. Put a worked over E-31 on a L-28 with flattop pistons.
