I pick up my first Z tomorrow
a 74 260Z that has not run in 10
years and died with carb problems

 

I got her home (ON a Trailer)
the Battery was charged with reverse polarity
the Clutch and Brakes were non existant
the interior is wasted and the body is complete but
cosmetically rough with 2 rust throughs and some minor
dings no dents

the motor was NOT froze up and the clutch plate seems to hold
as does the emergency brake

steering seems good very short lock to lock she should turn like a thought tires are OK for now

I have spark but cannot try to fire her up until I finish with the fuel tank which is sitting in the garage unless I use starter fluid

I did get the polarity right on the battery and did the Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinder thing and spun her over and heard spark off the leads against the valve cover
