Wiring Harness and Speedo Needles
Hi guys, I have two questions. First I just wanted to verify if I could use an analog speedo cluster wiring harness from the years 81-82 zx and use it on a 79 analog speedometer cluster (130mph)....I have a turbo zx, do I need to get a harness from another turbo model or would the NA harness still work with the three small gauges equipped with the turbo and oil temp gauge??? I'm pretty sure I could but I just want to make sure as I'm not sure if I HAD to get a harness from another turbo zx. My other question is...how do I pull the needles off on the speedo, tach, temp, gas gauges, etc? The reason I need to take them off is because I'm going to be putting on white overlays and I can't put them on unless I pull the needles off (I also wanted to paint them red.) I tried pulling them but I was afraid they would break. As always, thanks for the help

Re: Wiring Harness and Speedo Needles
They are very easy to break, but they do pull off. Not sure on the wiring harness for the analog gauges. My car is analog. I used a 79 speedometer face and had my unit recalibrated for the new face.
