Yeah-eew. That pos doesn't even fit. When MSA came out with that two years ago everyone on this forum trashed it. They have a much better looking one for less $

The MSA-II for the S130 does... not the S30.

ok thanks ohh and i think im going to take out a loan for $10.000 to do a complete resto on the 240z it's better than taking out a $16.000 loan to buy a new car

i like that look a lot. it's great without the airdam. mini lights and panasports are super expensive though. i think the fender flares do a great improvement

the airdamn is what makes it. trust me. those lights arent supposed to be there. those are vents for cooling the brakes. they are supposed to be any ways. dont take out a loan. you have NO sense of priority or respect for money do you? 10k loan at your age first off will never happen, second off, you'll never pay it off and it isnt even going to benifit you. and 10k to resto a 240z? WTF?!?!? maybe 2k to resto one. something is sreiously wrong with you lately.

you do know you have to cut your fenders if you put those flares on....its the purpose of them....to give you more space.

x2... What an UNWISE way to lose $10k. I would rather put $10k on Black in Roulette than take out a loan to restore a car (especially when you're so young & don't have a lot of income yet).

snw, you really know how to make a little bit go a long way on a car resto! i had planned on about 4k for my midget, but even with parts as cheap as they are for it, i ended up close to 6 or 7. and yea, loan at 19= bad news. if you are going to take out a loan for 10k, make it a student loan.

if your in school i don't suggest you build a car. GET YOUR LIFE in a direction and when you have money THEN put it in your toys. You cant really give a exact amount on a project because things change. You can do what most do and do baby steps. little here and their instead of pumping it all out in one time. If this car is gonna be a dd GOOD LUCK. i kept my z in the barn while i worked on it for 2 years. so just gotta be willing to have fun with it.

i did a full resto (almost full:kept the same engine and didn't do much with the interior) on my midget when i was 16-17! so it CAN be done, if you are in the right positon. just don't end up with no money and no car

yeah dude, im a good example, im in college and threw my camry Z32 etc, my turbo 260 was a mistake since i dont have teh freedom to work on it and keep it up nor is it a practical everyday car and i drive to school EVERY DAY. my 280Z was a perfect car to buy.... as far as S30's go. even then, i still dont want an S30 for my car in college. i need something that needs no work AT ALL and i can do stuff to slowly if i WANT to and HAVE the money. i was lucky and spent ALL of my christmas money from EVERY family member on Z stuff. and im very resourceful and had some good connections. this summer i plan to be Z-less. and then see what i want to buy with my new found money. sell your 240 take the 300 if its running and looks as good as hoov has shown and makes it out to be, since you live in CALI you should have no problem daily driving that car. just take car of it save money and when you have enough to do something and still have money left over then you can buy stuff for the car. dont live pay check to pay check. how old are you again? and what do you do? school? job? wage?

then why do you need a loan? sounds like you got plenty of sid money to slowly restor the 240. which you should honestly just sell. for some one that isnt fully independent yet (aka making 40K or abouve) you cant really support t projects like that.

i shall tell you a story

my first car was a 92 toyota camry. i finally put it up for sale and was asking a fair 1k just so it would go fast. i also had another 1300 saved up and was going to get a parent loan and get a new car of my choice. know what happens. i slide 100 feet into the rear of a ford ranger and total my car. there goes 1000 dollars i cant get now. and instead of reporting insurance i pay 1200 for damages to the other guys car out of pocket, so i was broke. i then found my Z32 dream car. get it for a Dream price for the condition it was in 3900. then needed all new suspension setup and did a few other miscellanour repairs (clutch and all new hydraulics for it) and now owe the parents a bit over 5k. start paying it off then get caught street racing. there goes 300 for court, 800 for lawyer and 100 for traffic school. then the compression goes in one cylinder. i mask the effects and sell it for a luck 5k. i then spend 1.5k on an RC project, and then save the rest. i find my 260, i buy it. 1k down. i then put together my turbo kit and dont get the car "reliable" and running perfect till july of 07. then i get a wierd problem, turns out to be electrical connections, but its winter now so i cant drive it anyways. i spend the additional money of mine on insurance and the 280 purchase and now owe the parents a couple hundred. get the paint suspension and exhaust setup for X-mas. you know where the 280 stands, soon im going to over haul the front end and then the suspension and exhaust goes in and then i save for new seat covers to rehapolster it. the car will then be a full resto and hopefully be worth near 10K with only around 3k put into it including purchase. the 260 NEEDS to go. and even though i got the interior cleaned up alot more i just want it gone (even though i love how it pulls) and so once i get a 5speed for it i will sell it for 3k firm. i think a very fair price since i just took the hassle out of a very desired swap, turbo motor into an early S30. and a rust free one at that. now you see, i can barely manage onne car let alone 2 and i live at home and have been doing ALOT of work on these cars so i know ALOT about them. you are still very very new, living on your own making like what... 8 dollars an hour? i know if i went sallary at my 8.50 i would make 17000 a year. some crap like that. you need to prioritize and NOT get into a loan situation unless your buying a house.
