When It rains it pours

New update on the Saga Of "Terror Z"

Got my headlights fixed temporarily. We routed the hot wire and ground from the side markers. T/S the problem to wiring in the harness some where near the front.

As soon as one thing gets fixed so I can start driving every day some thing else happens. When I went over to the guys house I got cut off in traffic and had to slam on the brakes. In doing so my fan went into my radiator causing a small hole in the top of the rad. Put barks sealer in it and started driving again. The hole filled up fine but the fan kept getting stuck under the top of the rad.

Long story short I had to cut part of thte plasitc blade with a pair of dykes to limp her home.

So Link gods is there a link on how to make a zx rad fit into a z rad?

I did that. Put a ZX rad into a 1975 Z

The top two bolts that hold the radiator in line up. The bottom two do not. The ZX rad will hang a good inch lower than the S30 rad did. It clears the ground fine, but if you look under the car from the front, the radiator is the lowest point... hmmmm....

...I sold the car

oh, and how did your fan suddenly hit the radiator?? Rad not bolted in, or did your engine just shift forward?

Was it the shroud or the radiator that it hit? Have you checked the engine mounts?

Most people I know remove the shroud in the S30's

i dont think engine mounts would let an engind slide that much forward... i meant.. its still attatched to the tranny also... soo... i have a feeling the fan mighta flexed cause the radiator wouldnt move backwards from slamming the brakes... ever hear of the P-factor or gyroscopic procession...

well i mean think about it... your braking... the radiator would move away... the car... 2 metal engine mounts attathed to teh tranny attatched to the crossmember.. you might get it to rock a little bit.. but its not moving forward... i think the problem is elseware

The Rad Fell Foward I Looked At It Closer And 2 Bolts Are Missing At The Top. The Two Missing Bolts Are Sheard Off Parts Of Them Are Still In The Nut Plate. My Guess They Are Not The Original Bolts... Hmmm
