What to look for on an S30

I'm going to look at a '76 280 in a couple of weeks and I was wondering what to look for body wise. What are the problem areas? Are they the same as my S130 or do they have a different set of issues all their own? The car looks alright from the pics but we all know how misleading pics can be.

tap around the wheel wells and the rear hatch to see if you can find bondo if you want. those are the areas that i see rusting the most on them.

Mike are you near South Chicago? I'm working in the area and would like to meet some of the zedthusiast around the area. Home is in MI and I'm stuck here until Halloween. Sweet pair of Z's by the way.

Thanks! Nah, I'm downstate in Springfield, about 200 miles south of Chicago. Snw lives in suburban Chicago.....but right now he's Z-less.

Rust and neglect.

Bleach's S130 checklist is a good read too: https://www.zdriver.com/forums/240z-280zxt-s30-s130-tech-tips-275/280zx-common-problems-checklist-purchase-inspection-16386/

You and your silly RHD! LOL...
For next to nothing on price it's anything but RHD. I just hope it's solid. It'll make a good first car for my oldest. Your age J. Damn I feel old now.

You talk your dad into the RHD coupe in Cali?
