Love them. I got a quote for $400 to rebuilt/recover each of my Z seats... for that price I will be getting a pair of what you just posted. (and saving a bit of money too)

you sure your not talking about the non-adjustable ones??
I know I had one similar to those and it did exactly what your talking about.. It was atleast 2inch wider.

Re: Looks Good....but....
Thanks for that info Hoover. I'm not the tallest of guys (6'0") but I have a really long back, so seat height is important! (plus I want to be able to sit there without my helmet rubbing the roof) The stock Z seat isn't too bad for height, I just wish there was some way to make it hold tight!!
So a 22" wide seat will fit an early Z no problem?

Re: Looks Good....but....
Hoover, I can't remember the exact model of Recaro that I have but it looks very similar to the Corbeau in the thread. It has the high Shoulder wings and an electric height adjustment (yes it was extremely expensive but has done wonders for my back ;o))
The wings only narrowly miss the door if I have the seat back in a fairly upright position, but as stated in an earlier thread you feel like you are sitting on the car not in it, and I'm looking down out of the front screen.
I'll have a look tonight at the floor rails with the mod that you've done and see how it goes. I was just a little concerned that it might take out the structural rigidity.
