Id like to buy a welder for at-home projects. MIG welders are my first choice. Ive read about them and i also saw last weekend's episode of Trucks, and it seems like the most reasonable one. Mostly my projects will be with 1 to maybe 3 inch steel tubing, plus other misc. things. I was recommended Licoln Electric for the brand but not a specific type. ANd yes i will read all the welding books and how-to stuff before i actually get one. Id just like some recommendations.

 

i to am looking for a nice welder,,the duty cycle is what you want ot look for the most, a 10percent duty cylse can be turned on for only 7 minutes or something and then you have to turn off the welder or else it will overheat for 10 minutes or something,,im kinda shady on the whole info thing,,ive heard licolns are excellent,, but i cant afford one so i think im gonna go for a campbell hausfeld one,,im pretty sure you want one that has a regulator for gas,,since thegas are the best

I think the key reason the MillerMatic 135 is $50.00 more is becuase it is the only one
with infinite voltage adjustment. The other two have four voltage settings.
