Check your belts. They might be loose or going bad. Easy to replace and it would also be a good time to check the condition of your water pump while you have the belts off and you're in that area of the engine bay.

J.V. Try this. If it is a belt squealing, buy some belt dressing and spray it on the belts, or just use some WD40. Old belts + rusty pulley = squealing belts. If it is the turbo, at least you looked at the belts and may see a future problem-maker. Make sure the turbo is getting oil, an oil change won't hurt.
BTW. The 83ZXT I got from you in Sept is on blocks, the inner fender well has been replaced, and I'm making the floorboards this weekend. Z'ya!
