Tires for my 260z

I have original slotted mags for my z that came with the car, but not on the car. I am looking to get new tires to change out the wheels. Any suggestions on what size I should run. The wheels are 14 in. and I would like to have the fat tire old school look.

Assuming they are 6 inches wide, I would personally try a 205/75/14, if anyone even makes that size anymore :/

225/60/14 works as well. I had those on the factory 280zx star wheels which I believe are 14x6

On stock wheels 225's (6j) that is overkill it will make the car wallow .. dont go anything over 205/60/14 as it will 'balloon' the tire to much making it loose its support and wander .
It will work on an 15" wheel (not advisable) but not on a 14

oh ya, the Z that had the fatty tires had blown struts on all four corners. That car was by no means a good handling Z! Just saying they held air... that's all.

LLLAAATTTEEERRR!!!!!!! haha, im not upgrading the wheels till like, last almost cause they are expensive and uneccessary. i first need to stick the 4speed in my car so i can drive it without worries (ugh) and find a 240sx tranny and start fabing it to work with the na 5 speed bell housing and what not. i need to get my pilot license finished up and make money and go megasquirt and just finish my EFI and tranny upgrade basically. once i feel its trust worthy, i can start making her pretty.

I got a quote from tire guy. He suggests 215 60 14. What do you all think? I want a wide look but don't want to compromise feel and ride.

Eh... if you go too wide on these skinny 14's you will have a lot of sidewall flex, which doesn't feel too good.

Go out and push the car on the quarter (pushing sideways) & look at your sidewall... now think how bad it's flexing around a corner @ speed. I hate my 15's... they are lower profile & I can still feel a lot of sidewall flex. I want to get a set of dished 17's like Shady has... his car feels very tight & hugs the road.

you wont feel so much flex if all your car can do is sit in the driveway.
