Can you interchange the starters fro 240-260-280z's?

I plan on building up the engine and doing a stroker kit at some point on a 2.8, but I have a 2.6L now. My starer is on it's last legs, and if I can buy a more stout unit that could handle more engine, that would make more sense.

So.. Can I stick a 1.4kw starter from a 280Z on a 260Z engine with M/T in place of the opted 1.0kw?
As far as I know, it would be that same bolt patter, and teeth count, but I am not the Z guru.

all s30 and s130 starters fit. the s130 though has a gear reduction on it for more ooomph. i say get that.

Just installed the gear reduction starter. Kicks *** man. No more clicking away, and then breaking out the jumper cables to jump from the starter to the battery to start my car. Almost took 5 minutes to swap. haha I love these old cars.
Not to mention that the S130 starter is much lighter, and the solenoid is further away from the engine for less heat penetration. Overall a much better starter.
