Rims and Webers and Zcars oh my
i was looking into getting a new set of rims for my z '71 240z
I currently have a set of BRE 14" rally wheels.
which are nice and all but i can't find any decent performance tires in 14"
richgt now i have pirelli p300 195/70 HR90 which are nolonger made... and my tires are coming up on that time again
http://www.geocities.com/ebola0001/240z/240z.html
i was wondering what center sizes spacing... umm you know what i mean how can i tell if it will fit my car?... what measurements do i look for in the rim... and whatnot
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
oh also does anyone have a weber book that gives all the valving sizes for a particular setup... say
400cc per cylinder
6500/7000 redline
1 barrel per cylinder
webber 40mm DCOE (x3)
i am looking for as much info as i can get on that one... aka all the interchangeable little valves in that thing if you need any other info on the engine for that just drop me a line... pyro2k@earthlink.net
any comments welcome thanks

Re: Rims and Webers and Zcars oh my
what you need is a wheel with an offset of zero. the wheel center/brake mating surface has to be in the center of the rim. you can run modern high positive offset wheels if you run an adapter between the wheel and the hub.......
panasport makes a good wheel and so does a company called revolution but they are pricey. however, no adapters needed as you can get zero offset from them.
as far as wheel diameter goes....i know you can run 17" wheels with no problems. and usually no more than 7"wide unless you flare the fenders.......hope this give you a starting point!
good luck

IMHO this is one of the best sites covering wheels and tires for 510's. Since most also fit Z's, I use it as a reference guide.
http://kmhafer.homestead.com/files/wheelFAQ.htm
Here are some wheels that I think will fit also w/o spacers.
