Oil Pressure.
Hi wonderfull people. I face a very big dilemna and i need your help. I've had my Z a year and the oil pressure has always been fine it's usually maintained high pressure. Over the last 2 months however it's reading very low and today it even said it was 0 at idle I looked at it and said fine if your gonna die do it now so I can just get a new engine but no.
The oil is pretty new and it's still full of oil what do I do?
I heard from a website the guages can stuff up what can I do to fix it?
Thanks Guys,
Worried Z enthusiast.

Re: Oil Pressure.
i had the same problem with one of my 260s. on the block where you screw on the oil filter you should find a ball bearing type valve. my had gotten stuck and hence no reading. all i did was { very carefully} when you have the oil filter off, gently push the valve with your finger to make sure it moves. it worked wonders for me. also, once on another z the oil filter bypass valve in the filter was screwed from day one,and it showed very low pressure at idle. changing the filter fixed that problem. give it a try, its a fast cheap fix if it works.

Re: Oil Pressure.
Well no point now cause the car was written off the other day but I'll rebuild that engine and stick it into my 240z cause it's got a P90 head great for turbo.
Thanks anyway.
