New Z

I just got a 1977 280z 2+2! body is in great condition, its straight, and apparently had some body work and a new paint job. the color is very similar to the original (the lightish blue color), as this is just a bit darker. the odo reads 38xxx, which im guessing (due to body condition) is 138xxx. i will hopefully get some pics up here soon, and plan on redoing the brakes this weekend (it pulls left when you brake, with the amount of pull corresponding to the braking intensity) as well as doing some other basic maintenance (plugs, wires, air filter, etc.). the engine runs well, but has a little trouble starting up cold. the undercarriage seems to be in good shape, but i havent had a good close look. i couldnt see and major patches of rust. it has the differential clunk, which i think im going to get a solid mount for it if it isnt just loose. i also got a spare (260z?) engine block that looks to be in ok shape, and a 4-speed tranny from a 260, along with other misc. parts.

Nice Z. I have a 76' 280Z 2+2. Welcome to the club. The thing looks super clean. If my paint job wasn't original my Z would look as nice as yours. Interior looks pretty darn clean like mine as well. Again, welcome to the Z club and enjoy it. Glad to see another 2+2! I'm really beginning to love my S30 2+2, also for the fact that it actually fits people unlike the S130 2+2 I used to have and it's shorter than the 280ZX2+2.

I also see you have a passenger side mirror. Mine being a 76 doesn't have that. So it looks like the Zs didn't get a passenger mirror until 77.

I'd put pictures of mine up If I had a camera, and if I didn't think that I'd get maimed for the condition mine is in.
