new engine.

my friend SPC mitchell has a 2001 SS camaro. with a Ls1. 346 V-8. stock he puts 315 hp 300 ftlbs at the ground. he has some longtube 1 3/4' primary headers, a LG 610/611 lift cam 112/114 duration cam. fast 90/90 heads and throttle body and ported throttle body. he is puttin 515/519 at the wheels. he ran 10.41 all motor. on 410 gears. he is giving me the motor as soon as his forged 408 iron block is done. he is goin twin t56 turbos on his iron block. his friend back home has a forged 402 with twin t56 and he is puttin 795 on 8 psi. the iron block is made to handle 28. anyways i think my new project is going to be dropping this new Ls1 into my Z. the power is redicilous.

god damn... you might want to put a roll cage in that. and a lil BREE spoiler on the back. and the air dam in the front to get some down forceif you plan on hiting the freeway. cuz with that engine. you whont be running fast. you'd be flying low.... just a thought. and well. my car may not be the fastest out there. but when i hit 140 on my 71 240z.... that rear disk brake convertion REALLY HELPS OUT to slow you down fast. and safely its not just about how fast you can get up there..... but how fast and safe you can come down just looking out for a fellow thrill freak like myself :P

Free engine. $1500 transmission. $2000 rear end and suspension. At least $1000 frame work. Wheels, tires? Brakes? Helmet? Parachute? You just can't put a big HP engine in a little car and expect to get far without spending a lot of cash and time. I don't mean to flame on your dream but be realistic.
