i wonder why he is selling, and for a pretty DAMN good price at that. wait, DUH a baby, lol, but still
EDIT: i'd love to get my hands on his electrical setup though, never really heard of that enginemanagement, wonder how it is and how easy it was to setup compared to like megasquirt or something, and price...

Well in my old thread about helping me find the perfect Z he kindof jokingly said he would hold it and sell it to me come this summer.. I'm still in China either way but I guess he wasn't joking because its pretty much summertime and it's up for sale lol

Why is SDS better then megasquirt? I was reading up on it earlier today at sdsefi.com. Although.. their website is pretty cheezy haha I couldn't find the differences between the versions or the specifics on the EM3-F

Yeah that's my car . I'm still on the fence about selling it. That add was to kinda test the waters at 8k and there is plenty of interest at that price. If I do decide to sell it, I'll probably put it up on ebay and let the highest bidder take it. I'm about 75% on selling it but I may just keep it and sell all my other goodies (g-nose w/airdam, fidanza flywheel, 9mm 240z rods, BBK throttle body, P90a, etc.)
SDS does have one of the worst websites . SDS isn't necessarily better than megasquirt. They both have thier benifits.
SDS is really simple to program but you can't use a laptop. You get technical support from an actual company and they are quick to answer emails. Megasquirt is cheaper but is basically DIY and technical support is from other DIYers. You can read up on the technical capabilities of both.

you dont tune it with a laptop.... hmmmm.... the thing i dotn like about megasquirt is how much YOU have to make, lol, i want something that points me in to what power wires go where, mount it, and insert the supplied and already plugged in or at least plug matching sensors to the already installed harness to teh stand alone, so i can just get up and go after an hour of work. lol... i think i shall read that website
EDIT: holy crap, for being simple it sure is fugin expensive. i was expecting like 6-7 hundred not 1k and up for the crank triggered ignition.... holy crap.... but it does seem to be a nicer simpler install....

you can buy all the MS stuff preassembled and its still less expensive than pretty much anything else. And if you go that route then you're not starting any further behind than if you went with another stand-alone system. The only real drawback to MS compared to the other similar systems on the market is that it doesnt have the company tech support for tuning and what not. You have to rely on other DIYers as was mentioned before.
