Re: How much Power?
maybe u got a little more than that... but matters if ur talkin at the wheels or flywheel....
just compare it to some of the cars that ur car kills on the streets and then think about it... or take it to the dyno... 100 bucks to know ur power level....

Re: How much Power?
i belive with that setup u'll be able to easily beat alota cars... try racing some imports like a s13 turbo or something.... u'll be pushing more power than u think... and also matters how well u drive...

Re: How much Power?
i reakon around 120kw + depends on engine condition but and how well in tune it is. It also depends on the engine head I'd say and what compression ratio it's running at. I belive if you stuck a set of tripple webbers you'd get a large power increase from what I'm told.

Re: How much Power?
I haven't done a 0-60 time, my friend might be soon getting a turbo supra and we probably will do some timing then, The most i've done is 0-50 (i don't want to get a speeding ticket) that would have been by my guess 4-5 seconds (I could be very wrong)
I think your skyline would JUST beat my car (just kidding, it would annihilate it)

Re: 140hp at the wheels =)
I would just like to add how stoked i am with my 240z. It is a pleasure to drive. I took it down the free way, just cruising at 80km/h. Once i get a slightly larger bucket seat it will be so nice to drive. I take any chance i can to drive. I hope everybody else is as happy as i am with their Zed's.

Re: 140hp at the wheels =)
i am happpy as well with my car, but i've had so many problems with it, and i got alot more work to do to it... but its mechanically perfect.. well just about ...
but i love just taking the car sideways at every chance.. and all my urathane rubbers everywhere makes the car better to handle... but don't you just want to go fasterrrr.... and turn harder.... just have fun showing 90+ models what a 26 year old car can do... its quite pleasing knowing i bought the car for 2000... haha.. but i've spent 4000 on getting it where it is now..
Z's are just to cool and are to much fun to drive, would never buy a commodore or something like that after driving a Z, still want to put a 350 in there thou... maybe just a 302.. hehe...

I know exactly what you are talking about, but i'm quite happy with where my car is at the moment. Currently i'm just fixing little niggly things like putting in a rear gas strut for the hatch and replacing the indicator bulb etc. I 've never been i commodore person, I think once my 240 dies (hopefully not before 10-15 years) I will restore it to completely original, then move onto a 280zx or a 300zx

Re: 140hp at the wheels =)
I have owned 8 different from a 1970 240 to a 1978 280 and very year in between. I love the hell out of them. I cuurrently own a 78 280 and only paid 1000 for it. it had a compltely rebuilt lower end. I am dong the head this winter with the ground effects and suspension. the best thing about Z,s is they do not cost that much to have a hell of a lot of fun. If I had a choice I would love to have my first Z back which was a 1970 240. i kicked so many peoples asses in that car. The only car that severely beat me was a porsche 935db turbo. But since i paid 1500 for my Z and he paid over 100,000 for his porsche i did not feel bad at all.
