how to get more power......?
i have a 77 280z all stock, restored engine, and i was wondering how i can make it more powerful without swaping it into a v8 or having to spend a fortune. any ideas????

If you want more simple stuff, just have an exahust shop put on a larger pipe 2.25 or 2.5 inch diameter. Put on a cone K&N air filter.... put in a lower geared rear differential. There is so much information on this available here and on zcar.com
Or go to Hybridz.com and look under their L-series info. Don't ask this question again on there, just look in the history of other questions asked. You'll get lots of ideas just by reading and people won't have to re-write stuff...

Here you are-
Stock cam SUCKS, plop in a nice performance unit. While you're at it, have nice port and polish job done. Since your getting it ported and polished, you might as well have a bit shaved off of your head to up the compression. You definately need to open up your intake, drop a bigger throttle body in while your at it. MSD ignition would definately help and have cam advanced to most performance oriented position. Dial in your timing and you'll be set.
