also pics of my slave setup. that hardened release fork is a bitch to drill through. just incase you guys ever use one of these, make sure to do the drilling on a press before you install the trans. you will need to

lol, i wish i could afford any 80' 911 turbo, but all of them i can find are super low mile mint condition 25000 for the cheapest. and the cheapest 944 turbo i can find is 7500... i swear just a couple years ago i could find the 944 turbo's for 5k.... damn porsche's.... lol. also, thats an interesting way you have the slave on there, the actuator on the mount and the slave mount end on the fork.... are you going to reverse that? cause wont it be tugging on the clutch line? also, when we gonna see some vids? haha

lol, the other day i was up at 7 am for work, home, eat, rode the bike, then off to my buddies shop at about 6pm then working on his 98 CBR 900RR till 9am the next day. no sleep!!! it blew. lol. only thing that wasn't removed from the bike was the engine and head internals. chrome frame, swapped carbs, lowering link (its slammed!) swapped clip-ons stretched. so very very much... and 93 bodywork stuck on it. all that and we found out the chain was no go. lol. so i know how you mean. hope the Z hauls when you goose it

how fresh is the motor for sure? check compression to be safe? if that ok then timing possibly since you say spark is strong on them. how's it turn with that heavy *** motor in it though? lol

it actually turns very well.
the small black chevy is actually lighter than the origonal l24. and because its 2 cylinders shorter, the motor sits completely behind the front wheels so weight distrubution is better than that of a stock z.
roughly 51/49.
timing is dead on, compression is awesome across the board.
but even running on 6 its got torque up the ***. i cant wait till its running 100%

snowbrder540, looks like your right. i did a little more research myself. the origonal writeup i was reading was on a 350 w aluminum heads. can you beleive you can lose nearly 90 lbs like that? jesus christ G.M. why dont you just make the car out of lead.

its gonna take more then heads to shave 90 pounds off a sbc, i dont think een stock heads weight that much combined! with an aluminum radiator, alum. heads. alum. intake, alum. water pump and headers you may get 90 pounds, assuming you start from a STOCK sbc. also you can lose quite a few pounds by going from the stock cast crank to a nice forged after market piece.
