The only good results I've seen on gas tanks is done by a radiator shop. For about $100 it will be like new. Tell them not to paint it cause they use radiator paint, paint it yourself.

You take the tank to the radiator shop and they dip the whole thing and test for leaks. I tried cleaners and acid but got unexcepable results.
I've been with Zdriver for over 4 years and value everyones help. My experience tells me that the members that think they already know every thing and flame your ideas or your car eventually go away.

$500 to rebuild a set a SU carbs is a rip off, and paying for someone to tell you what they "think" is wrong on a car with carbs is just a little... i would suggest reading up or buying a book on rebuilding the carbs and then buy the syncrometer and go from there. no point in paying somebody to do something that you can easily learn to do on your own.

i think he might be sour about the deal we were going to go through with (my 240z and $1500 for his 300zx) but he never responded to my posts or emails so idk but i think he didn't have room or something like that on top of it all but im not sure

a 240Z and 1500 for a turbo Z31.... sounds like HE is getting a good deal and if he fails to see it he is a tard. if anything, if you have 1500 to drop on a lowsy Z31 you should take it, do the body up purty for half that and use the other half to get yourself some rebuilt performance carbs and exhaust

carbs.... are simple. get a book, get a kit, and go to town. not like they are some miracle technology only an astro physicist can work on.
