FYI- car weights

'82 280zx turbo, full tank of gas---3060lbs.
Mods--4 spd auto, 3" exhaust

'73 240z, full tank of gas---2500lbs.
Mods--'81 turbo wheels, 2.8 engine, round top su's

You sure those are correct? My '70 240z weighed 2250 with an empty tank and a 2.4 liter motor. They say the '73 has 300 pounds on the '70. If you weighed it though, there's no arguing.

Has anyone weighted an early '71 and a late '71 that are set up the saem to see how much weight difference exists before and after the the body changes? I can't imagine that moving the vents and adding the tool compartments added a lot of weight, but maybe it did.

Nissan also extended the frame rail and things too.

my 73 240z is 2427lbs exactly with a full tank of gas, 20lb bag of tools, no spare tire, no jack, r200 diff, toyota 4 piston calipers and 300zx vented disks.
