fuel injection what?
hey guys, i'm kinda new to the Z thing (i used to have a z32 300zx if that counts) i am planning to get a good condition 240, but obviously they are carburated...
the problem is, i know nothing about carburators and would like to have it fuel injected.
i would eventually like to add a turbo to the engine (i have an 87 RX7 TurboII right now and i'm addicted to boost!) without having to deal with a blow-through carb setup...
my question is; can i get a 240z that is fuel injected? i've seen some guys get 240sx throttle bodies, but what do you do about the fuel after you put the throttle body on?
thanks in advance guys, i know nothing about carburators!

Re: fuel injection what?
just find a 280 FI head/intake/exhaust/turbo/fuelrail. and you should have enough to get a good start on a conversion. There may be some other little things here and there (But im sure someone else has done this, and would have all the info).

Re: fuel injection what?
Alternatively, you could pull out the L24 and put in a RB25DET, RB26DETT engine from a skyline. Im pretty sure Toyota 1JZ and 2JZ engines fit in there as well. I spoke to a mechanic friend of mine about a turbo conversion, and he said sticking a turbo, head and intake from a 280ZX turbo wouldnt be the best option, because the compression would need to be dropped, and some other stuff like the fuel pump would have to be upgraded. If I could afford it, I'd go the RB2XDET way, because the power potential in those engines is massive.
