Well its not all that funny really.

On my way home from a local street racer hangout. I see a Fiero driving the opposite direction, and notice that it was clean.. and had a funny air intake over the roof (a la MR2 style)
I think nothing of it..
Till the guy does a U turn and catches up.. hehe I guess he wants to go fast!!

Now currently my VG30ET motor is pretty stock in my 280Z. Minor mods, I/C and the boost.. well lets just say its cranked! 18 psi.. slight prob of overboosting to 20 in higher gears. We try and line up, but get blocked by a suburban. 2 lane one way opens to a 3 lane one way with a tight 50kph S curve. He opens it up and the start of the S.. I follow.. winding 3rd gear through the exit of the S" (almost 160kph)
We stop at the next light and a lamo pulls up in mid 80's cutlass all done up.. So 3 of us are gonna race. OK Light goes I spool and lay 20ft of rubber, and wail through 1st and 2nd.. (cutlass is still getting into the intersection and falling quickly behind) Fiero is beside me.. I go to third feathering the throttle now so I don't over boost..Fiero pulls 1/4 panel in front and stays there.. we go to 4th.. same.. Stop at next light and chat.. We surprised eachother.. we both thought it was a sucker match..hehe He was running a modified 3.8L supercharged grand prix engine. told him I was a boosted 300zx V6 hehehe He runs high 12's low 13's.. hehe I was happy as heck.. we raced 3 more times.. same results.. even did a 70kph rolling start.. both of us were frying our tires launching.. side by side too!! hehehe fastest race I have ever been in.. even scared myself!! ME hehe never thought I could do that..

Yea I've heard of guys doing that to fieros... WAY fast...I hope I don't run across one.

There is a company on the north end of Toronto that does 355 pontiac v8 swaps in them... yikes!

BTW I updated my ride pictures, and included pics of my turbo as well... The black 300zxt in the back ground is my daily winter Z... almost looks like the engine is going in that car... I actually had both my Z's in the shop...

 

I loved the story, but who would rather have a Firero than a Z? Not me. Even if you lost, who cares, you've gotta a real car. Pontiac....hehehehh.
