Engine Rebuilds.
Hey guys i currently have a L28 with P90 head on it but it's a N/A engine. It's got very low oil pressure and it sits just above zero on idle while driving it goes halfway up the pressure guage. I also found metal fragments in the bottom of the sump when I changed the leaky sump gasket over.
Are these metal fragments remains of a Piston/Oil ring?
Obviously to me the solution is a complete rebuild which leads me to a dilemna do I want ot revert it back to a Turbo engine using the P90 head or don't I? I've been told the head might not have been shaved but the pistons changed to give the higher compression. So I wanted to see how much I'd be looking at to rebuild the engine prep it for turbo and get all the parts.
At the moment I don't have thousands of dollars so am I better off rebuilding it how it is and reconditoning the head and block with new rings bearing and gaskets?
Thanks for any advice guys.

Re: Engine Rebuilds.
You might just be better off finding a L28 turbo motor in a boneyard and just swaping in the whole thing. It's a pretty common swap to do. I think it would be cheaper to find a good running L28 turbo engine, than to fix up your L28 n/a. Just my .02
