dual points dizzy
i need to swap out my dual pt. dizzy with the electronic igniton type. Is it as simple as disconnected the second set of points and install a single point type dizzy? i have a automatic so would this effect my timing? Has anyone done this or know who to turn me onto who has? I was interested in the pertonix setup but they say it would not work with my current dizzy. HELP ME!
i really want this upgrade. There has to be something that can be done.thanks for your help!

Re: dual points dizzy
Correct the petronix is only meant to single points distributor.
The difference between the AT and MT is the timing advance is a little different. I think you can go one of two ways. You can 1 probably get a single points distrubtor and go with pertronix.
Or you can try the electronic distributor. Which might be more cost effective if you do find one in good shape or new.
If you haven't seen the site below it is a very good one, also there is a good technical article at www.zhome.com. Bryan little's link below is a great guide for doing simple bolt in modifications.
