Hmmm...from my experience, I think it has a lot to do with what NEW threads you create and how many people responds to them. The more people responds to YOUR thread, the more points you gain. Also, you can also rate one another's post and gain points that way (although it doesn't seem like too many people actually do much rating). I'd be curious to hear what the moderators have to say...
