Delco Alternator Swap

Has anybody done the possible alternator swap? I would like to perform this because everytime my subs it, the voltage needle drops a little as well as the headlights dimming. I know that the Delco units have an internal regulator. Hit me with some specifics please.

Zcar Creations has a really good page on how-to's on various items including the GM alternator swap. I included the link below. I would have done it myself already but I still have two original units that are brand new.http://www.zcarcreations.com/howto/delcoalt.htm

Thanks for the reply Prieth,
I've checked that site before though, just not enough information for me.
Let me know if I'm on the right track though. Remove old alternator and regulator, remount new delco and wire with previous harnesses?

Prieth,
I just noticed you're from Waukesha?! Good to know some other Z owner's in the Wisconsin area. What do you drive?
