Ok well I'll give a quick intro here. I'm Zach and I drive a z31 turbo but love all zs. And basically I am wandering what are some well sought after parts that you guys are usually looking for at your local junk yard? I live where the corners of Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky meet and I am employeed at one of our biggest local junk yards. Today wile sitting at work we crushed a z31 and a 280z that barely had any parts pulled off of them. And I know there are not that many z guys around me that I know of. So I thought today about those of you guys who don't see these cars in junk yards often because we see quite a few. So my original thought is see what I can find and maybe I can help you guys out by in return selling or trading the parts to the needy on this site. I'm not asking a site administrator or some one important who has better things to do to waste there time helping me on something I could search, but let's be honest, it would take me hours to find out what you guys already know and other than picking up the parts, I have no reason to know this info. JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING ON THE 280Z and ZX!

 

Well the yard I work at has a day they call the pull a thin which is basically anything u can carry to the check out is urs for 50 bucks. On that day I would not mind just tearing a z apart of everything but that day only comes once or twice a year so I'm looking for something a little more specific for days that I just decide to do a yard run.

 

On NON RUST body parts: The radiator support, Battery Tray section ,Hood, Rear Hatch,Rear Tail section. These are items that are not in production or are the most sought after.

 

That's the info I'm after. How about interior? Do you guys keep stock interior or upgrade to aftermarket? By interior I mean like seats and steering wheels and all that. What about ttops? I know where a gorgeous white 280zx with ttops is sitting. Unless anyone is looking for the whole car. I mean it's gorgeous and the last I heard that junk yard will sell cars.
