My 82 280ZX has a problem when cold. Starts great, will idle a bit rough when cold, but the main problem is this. Until the engine temp reached normal any attempt to increase engine speed results in sputters, backfires, and sometime stalls. I replaced the distributor after finding the breaker ball bearings stuck to the stator mag. HELP.

I have an 83 with the same exact problem, but when it's warmed up it also hesitates. I still don't know what the problem is.
