Brake Relay

I have a 1978 280Z. There is a relay under the passenger seat. I looked it up and it's some kind of brake light relay. It's making a clicking noise. My questions are--what exactly does it do and do you need it? I drove the car with it disconnected and saw no difference with anything. Thanks--Mark

Warning lamp

Break Waring Lamp Check Relay, it's for your warning light on the dash, it checks for a burnt out bulb. Pull it out and check the Nissan part number, I might have one on hand, Nissan uses a lot of the same basic relays all over the car, and the number will help in ordering if needed.

The FSM shows it on page 42/95 in the Body Electrical Section
