Ah! yes... fuel pressure regulator (FPR). Adjustable ones are cheap... it's the rising rate ones that are expensive (and not needed on a non-turbo motor). Why do you suspect the fpr? Have you tested the fuel pressure & a/f ratio at the time it loses power (aka fuel pressure & a/f gauges)?

Hook up a fuel pressure & a/f gauge to diagnose the problem. I personally think it's more likely to be an AFM prob than FPR, especially if you've just replaced the FPR.

ebay... I have one just like this (Works great as an ajustable fpr... the only draw back is that is doesn't hold fuel pressure when you turn off the car... and the gauge isn't liquid filled, so you don't get a super accurate reading... but for $20 ya can't beat it): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RED-F...86068590QQrdZ1

so stumbling at above 4,000 rpm consistantly might be the AFM?

I'm having little issues but I wasn't going to worry about it until my wastegate gets fixed. 4300rpm submles every time under boost.

I'm still working on my A/F ratio gauge install

Well I'm not saying I'm sure that's the cause, just suggesting to Skittle (and in your case too) to check the fuel pressure & a/f ratio when it happens.

yes, I do want a remote mounted fuel pressure gauge on my dash right next to the A/F gauge. Those are not cheap. The one on the fuel rail was only $18

As Skittle said, its hard to check the fuel pressure on the rail when you're going 80mph, wide open throttle, in 3rd gear.

I also noticed last night that my plastic fuel injector holders are breaking apart! 7 months old and already destoryed. Maybe my injectors are backing out at that rpm? hmmmm.... I'll put new ones in when I replace the manifold gasket next week... after my Pulsar passes emissions!

A local Z'er said he just T'd the fuel line & ran the fuel gauge up to the windshield where he taped it so he could see the fuel pressure while driving. Sure... it might be a big ghetto, but it worked.

Or I could do like NismoPick and put a camera on or under my hood pointed at the gauge and run an in-dash LCD screen simple is always the best way!

BASTARD!!!! lol.... well its only 2... i can make do for now... i have my pallnet fuel rail just chillen (need an FPR) and my buddies DSM injectors... but i need a way to control them thats where im on a snag... cuase im BROKE!!!! lol... gotta get me a SAFC or a standalone... that or SAFC and then a method of eliminating the stupid AFM. but... the first challenge is getting it runnin. lol. and in the process making the motor shiney or at least presentable again.

if i start making money again i want an aeromotive FPR... adn i guess ill need a guage otherwise i wont know what its all set at.
