Are you looking for round or square port?

should be round on a 79, depending on if it has the p90 head (which would be on a turbo block).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the e31, e88, and n47 had square ports, whereas the others had round ports.

Yes... if it's a 79 it should be a round port, but the P90 head came out in 81 on the turbo & it's square port

I should have elaborated on my post...the p90 has square ports, because the square ports are much better for airflow as the round ports were not as good. Nissan went back to square ports with the turbo head for obvious reasons stated above.

what happened to the edit button on the posts? Zack, your 78 should have round ports, it will probably have the n47 head which has round ports (the n42 is the one that has the square ports)

ALSO. i would start my own post but its the same as this i'm looking for a HEADER for my 71 240z with the stock engine L24 with SQUARE ports. i have a 78 header . id either buy cheap or willing to trade my 78 280z header for a 240z header. doesnt really matter, i just need a 240z header for a cheap price or trade.
