78 280z wiring problem with ignition coil
So I just got a 78 280Z project car now everything is has been put together except, the ignition coil and wires not sure whats going on but any help would be grateful. This is how it's put together now but I don't think its right let me know if I am missing something and were they need to be put properly. Thanks

That doesn't look right to me either but ... my experience is with a 260Z which is a bit different beast. Looks like there's some non-factory stuff there too.
Recommend you get the Factory Service Manual (FSM) for your car. Pop over to xenons30.com and follow the links. That manual will be your bible, supplemented by Haynes and/or Chilton's manuals. In the FSM are wiring diagrams and explanations (sometimes in poor Japanese English) which are a huge help in figuring out the wiring. It will take some time before you really know how to use the FSM but once you're familiar, it's great.

I have tried to download to FSM many times and I've tried all over to get it for some reason i cant even download it or open it anywhere I've tried over 20 times. Not sure what is going on. Thank you for your respond.

Unless there is something else upgraded, looks like whoever put it together bypassed the ignition unit. So might want to put the wires back properly unless you know something else has changed.
