Start rechecking everything. All the plugs. Compression and leak down test. Something as simple as too much oil in the crankcase. Stuck pcv valve. Stuck egr valve. The F54 block is not original and if you don't have it decked then it could be leaking. The P90/P79 heads have an extra oil return passage. When I do a head I coat both sides of the gasket with copper sealer paste to make up for the decks surface.
Usually oil in the intake is from bad oil rings but on a fresh engine a little oil can cause smoking for some time.
What is the history of the block?

I never did a side by side comparison but I did notice that a N gasket was different than a P head gasket. Maybe check to see if the cam cover is filling up with oil and blowing into the breather hose. Crankcase vapors are meant to be burned but oil fog will pass right into the intake. Interesting!

Was the head surfaced before it was put on? Did you properly torque the head bolts? Are you using the correct head gasket?

Please heed the previous given advice... Did you do any of the checks TheRamz mentioned?

FYI... all L24-L28E / L28ET blocks have the same oil and coolant ports... the heads vary. So when you are rebuilding an L-Series motor, use the appropriate gasket for the head... you match the head gasket holes to the head ports, not the block.

In case you haven't noticed, I keep merging your threads because we don't need 50 conversations on your 1 problem.

And I already answered your question about the head gasket.

And if you are asking a question, please use a QUESTION MARK [ ? ] at the end of the question so people know it's a question and not a statement. You'll get answers a lot faster in life.
