Re: 73 240z carb question
if u have got a flowmeter it shouldn't be to hard....
unless u have some flat tops carbs... they are a bitch.... if u got flat tops.... upgrade to earlier Z carbs...round tops... alot better performace... and they have fuel mixture nossles... and easier to tune... well mine were...

Re: 73 240z carb question
i have the older su carbs - but i was waiting so long for a reply that i went on and ordered the 4 barrel set up conversion. I thank you zspeed. Im not so much looking for a smooth performance but rather a machine that will beat the yellow light. I hope going with a four barrel carb will do that? Do anyone hav a suggestion

Re: 73 240z carb question
i've never used a 4 barrel setup.... but i have heard that it does give better performance... and other people have toled me that it doesn't.... but as long as you keep the other carbs you always have to choice to go back...
also make sure that you engine is tuned correctly, theres no point tuning carburators if the engine isn't tuned, always tune the engine first and carbies last....
