5 speed

i want to know if a 280 Z 5 speed tranny will work with a 240 Z and if anyone has a 5 speed tranny i am interested in buying it

ive got a 280zx 5speed in my '73 and everything was fine. yesterday a friend put a 280zx 5speed in his '72 and had to cut out some metal in front of the shifter so it would go into 1-3-5, thats all the problems he ran into, no biggie at all.
