Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to put my dads old 4age 20v engine into my Datsun 280z. Or if there would be a better engine to get for it.

It could be if you REALLY wanted to, but there is no replacement for displacement. Even with a turbo. But why would you want to drop in a motor with almost a full liter less displacement?

Putting a FWD mounted motor in a RWD engine bay isn't fun, easy, or cheap.

Search our forum for "L28ET swap" or "RB25/RB26 swap". We've discussed 280zx motor swaps many MANY times.
