Hi.. I'm new to this forum and I am looking for some info on a 280Z 5 speed transmission I am rebuilding. I have replaced all of the bearings and installed a new reverse idler gear. I have tightened the countershaft and mainshaft retaining nuts, but my manual does'nt show what the final torque should be. Is "good and tight" good enough?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

PS, These nuts have to be "staked" to the shaft after they are tightened.
