ok, my haynes manual gives me 50 different possiblities, im wondering if anyone can help me narrow this down.

i got my new fuel pump in. and i rigged it to a 12v constant source since it wouldnt work other wise. i got 10 bucks of premo in the tank. i turn it on the fuel pump is loud as hell and it is pumping (since a fuel line was loose some of it was on the ground). i try and crank it.... takes a while then it slowly starts to work on its own.

now if i do get it started ( i have to give it just the right amount of gas), i can then do whatever i want with the car for about 3 seconds, then it will stall. i've held the engine at say 2k rpms, and then again at almost redline and it stalls each time after about 3 seconds.

i did get it to idle (very loooow idle) for 10 seconds, then i turned on the lights and it stalled.

i think it might be my alternator, or something related, cuz my voltemeter goes into the red whenever it is running.

also my tach isnt working, neither is my radio, or power windows (and they used to) i think one of my wires for my push start is missing but i dont know which one since they all are on the main switch to get the car in the "on position" or whatever is prior to starting the car.

anyway, thanks for any help you can give me.

assuming the Battery, Alt, Starter are all good, check the Fuel Pressure Regulator. I just changed mine. Also, get new plugs because they're probably fouled out.

the plugs and wires are good, it might be the distributor... ill check them all again though.
