240z

ok i know everybody kinda hates me but im going to take the 240z apart completely. i've already started with the interior, but what i wanted to ask everybody was what in your opinion was the first thing you did while taking you car down to nothing? and what you would have done differently?

dont take it apart, it will only see the road once after you do and that will be on the back of a tow truck, you dont have the space, money or tools to strip a s30 i suggest you dont do it.

i am being completely honest you strip that car and its never going to be put back together (by you anyways)

UTI is a joke, I know more than most of the kids there. At least the one here in FL is, place is full of ricers and when they're in the actually in the workplace they can't even change the oil.

i'im not even going to try to talk about this. TOF needs to severely F something up before he can begin to learn any lesson. within a year, he will have had a rite of passage concerning auto mechanics

no offenc to you, but you dont know **** about anything with a motor, you have no idea how complex even something seemingly as simple as a lawnmower works, honestly UTI will make you dumber, it may make you seem like you know something, but you wont, all they will teach you is how to change your oil, unless you go in with general understanding of the science involved with engines and unless you know how a motor works, then your first step should be to either a machine shop or a library, dont bother spending $70k for some shitty school and dont bother spending $30k in tools to attend the school, if you want to go to school so bad, then go to a community college and learn the basics.

the truth hurts, but someone has to tell it.

I don't know anything but i admit it....cancer isn't that bad it just requires alot of reading, and alot of practice, and at least 50 hours. that's what i've put into my 2+2 so far and i'm actually going to start cutting once my por15 comes in (hopefully tomorrow) just read read read, and you have to just jump in and try it. I will hopefully have some pics and help tips if you can wait a week or so

Don't do it, I have seen so many cars taken into the junkyard where the owner stripped the entire thing and never finished it.
It's such a waste of what potentially could be a nice car.

You will take the Z a part, and with little $$$ for parts and repairs, it will sit... sit... and sit, and some day... you WILL sell it or send it to the junk yard!!!

I have hired UTI people before, and they know very little about cars and the parts that go in them... The best thing to do is go to college... you will learn A LOT MORE... you could learn more from high school than from UTI...
